Due to the Standard CSA C22.2 No.113: 2018 does not apply to products that are within the scope of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80:17 (Electric Fans/ CCN: GPWV7 & GPRT7), such as ceiling fan, desk or table fan, box fan, window fan …, you need to know the effective date requirements about these two Safety Standards.
Based on the UL certification program, these C-UL certification products are within the scope of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80:17. They shall comply with the effective date requirements as stated below:

With the publication of the Canadian CSA Standard CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80:17, the original North American CSA and C-UL household fan certification will be changed from CSA-C22.2 No.113-15 to CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80: 17.
CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80: 17 is based on IEC 60335-2-80 3rd edition with Canadian deviations. The basic standards used to investigate household fans are CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60335-1 and CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-2-80. 【Safety Certification】Extra Tests for Fans for use in Unattended Areas in UL Certification
In addition to any other motor requirements specified in UL 507, any motor used in fan products which are built into or within the building structure and which operate unattended or in situations in which the operator may not detect or be notified of a locked rotor condition shall subject the following tests:
It will be needed 15 or 25 samples of complete fan or motor and a period of about 15 to 100 days for above tests. GCS suggest that manufacturer for fans/motor which use in unattended areas to conduct pre-evaluation before formal UL Certification. According to IEC/ EN 60335-1, parts of non-metallic material shall be subjected to the glow-wire test of IEC 60695-2-11 at 550°C, but the glow-wire test is not carried out on parts of material classified as following:

In UL published UL 507 (Standard for Electric Fans) Tenth Edition on 2018-06-07, it adds new clause 29.6 for motor starting or running capacitor.
In new clause 29.6, a motor starting or running capacitor shall be rated for the appropriate voltage and comply with applicable requirements for the maximum available fault current (AFC).
UL has issued Industry File Review status letter around August 2017! The authorization to use the UL Mark will cease if your products do not comply with the New requirements on or before the Effective Date 2018-12-03!
